Welcome to P2/3/4! In our class we love to have fun when we’re learning and our room is always busy! We focus on the everyday things such as being independent, taking responsibility for our belongings and our learning, being kind and helpful and following our ‘Golden Rules’. We earn dojos for all our hard work and get special treats too!

Our topic this term is ‘Once Upon a Time’ and we will be learning all sorts; from how to make maps and trails with Hansel and Gretel to learning about science with the 3 Little Pigs.

In Literacy, we will be focusing on our reading and phonics this term and how to create stories through role-play and writing. In P2 we will be practising using sounds to make words and putting these into sentences. In P3/4 we will be taking part in grammar activities and finding out about nouns, punctuation, sentence structure and much more….

In Numeracy our main focus this term will be based around numbers. We will play lots of games to help us and will be using different resources like numicon to help us count, order, add and subtract. We will also be going ‘shopping’ to learn about money and will be finding 2D shapes in our local environment and creating our own 2D shape pictures.

It’s going to be a busy term but there will be lots of fun along the way!
