Hello / Hola

P3/4 have been very busy this first half term of 2022! Our topic this term is Houses and Homes and this first half term we have focused on ‘Where I live’ learning about the four countries in the U.K, their capital cities and what makes them different from one another.

We have learnt a little about the Maasai Tribe in Kenya as we have an African Mud Hut for our role play area, we will look more at homes around the world in the next half term.

Independence and responsibility is flourishing in P3/4 with the appointment of weekly Table, Role Play and Pencil monitors who ensure books are given out correctly, our role play and reading area are kept neat and tidy anf our pencils are always sharp ready to go!

In Literacy, the children have been improving their understanding of grammar by doing focused activities on punctuation and adjectives and nouns. They have been using this knowledge to aid their sentence building.

In Numeracy, we have been focusing on using the Numicon to aid our understanding of addition and subtraction within 100 and our times tables. We have also been identifying and building 3D shapes.

We take the register daily in Spanish and love taking part in games, songs and stories in Spanish during a fun Friday!
